Global education multivideo conferenza dal 14
al 18 novembre 2011.

Oltre 300 presentazioni in 4 giorni circa Ventimila partecipanti provenienti da
100 paesi del mondo
tutte le presentazioni sono state registrate e sono visibili in internet

Limportanza di tale avvenimento è legata alla possibilità di potere collegare
insieme, diverse migliaia di persone che stanno a casa propria , in tutte le parti del
mondo , dalla Cina allAfrica, dallAustralia allEuropa, dallAmerica
alla Russia, in un luogo virtuale per un convegno in cui tutti possono partecipare
contemporaneamente condividendo le proprie opinioni , come se fossero nella stessa stanza.

Questo è avvenuto utilizzando dei programmi innovativi , messi a disposizione dalla
organizzazione iEARN a professori ed insegnanti che da anni si occupano di Educazione
Globale e che vedono un nuovo modo di concepire la scuola, con delle classi che si aprono
al mondo ed utilizzano a pieno tutte le opportunità che offrono le nuove tecnologie . Ad
esempio molte conferenze erano basate sullutilizzo di sistemi mobili di telefonia ,
dal classico telefonino cellulare, agli iPhone ed iPad , utilizzando anche sistemi aperti
di tablet computer con sistemi operativi android, che sono la nuova frontiera
dellopen source per la telefonia mobile. In tale contesto oltre alla tecnologia si
è posto laccento sulla cooperazione mondiale tra varie strutture educative , che
sperimentano la educazione globale e che hanno fatto di essa il nuovo modo di educare
giovani di tutto il mondo con il motto collegare tra loro i giovani fa la differenza
nel mondo.

Un programma ricchissimo di interventi ha messo a confronto vari sistemi educativi
da quelli Americani a quelli Australiani , Cinesi e Giapponesi, passando per le nuove
opportunità nei paesi sottosviluppati, come Africa, paesi arabi, paesi del sud America ,
paesi dellEst Asiatico, Pakistan , ed altri.
Pochi gli intereventi europei , tra questi il nostro per lItalia che ha mostrato
come oltre alla tecnologia, la vera risorsa sono la rete di docenti e studenti che
partendo da contenuti condivisi , applicano le nuove tecnologie in settori tradizionali,
come la storia, la geografia, la religione , larte e i cambiamenti climatici legati
allutilizzo dellenergia tradizionale a fronte delle energie rinnovabili.
Personalmente ho seguito oltre 30 conferenze oltre la mia ed ora potro' vedere le
altre .
Ho conosciuto un centinaio di professori e docenti di tutto il mondo.

Per utilizzare questa tecnologia occorre
scaricare dei programmi che permettono di utilizzare la blackboard ed il programma di
videoconferenza Elluminate , che è simile a Skype , ma permette collegamenti multipli,
molti a molti invece che uno a uno.

Per ora tale tecnologia è a pagamento ed il
costo è legato alla stanza virtuale che si noleggia ed al tempo ed il numero dei
partecipanti al convegno virtuale. Però l'organizzazione mondiale iEARN ha fatto per i
suoi soci dei pacchetti agevolati.

Come detto è possibile rivedere le
videoconferenze in un archivio digitale che resta per consultazione, cosa non
trascurabile, infatti tali conferenze sono ad oggi quanto di piu' avanzato sia possibile ,
in questa nuova frontiera che è l'educazione globale. Tutti i partecipanti hanno decine
di anni di esperienza ed anche i giovani sono accuratamente selezionati . Infatti per
partecipare occorre seguire prima un corso , e partecipare ad una selezione , per le call

in internet del lavoro fatto.
